We took inspiration from the book Braids Step By Step and challenged senior designer Michelle Cory to redo one of the looks from the book. Here you go:
“The book’s steps for short and long hair are super easy to follow, and as I recently cut my long locks, I felt very inspired to try out the rope twisted braid for short tresses.”
Brush your hair to get rid of any knots, then part your hair as you usually would. Divide the less dominant side of your fringe section into two equal sections.
Twist both sections in the same direction, towards the right.
Now twist both sections together towards the left; in other words, right section over left.
Continue to twist both sections together until you reach the end; secure with bobbi pins.
TIP: It is very important that you twist the sections in the right direction, otherwise the braid will go limp.
